Backgammon is one of the most experienced table games ever made. His set of experiences can be traced back nearly 5,000 years to archeological discoveries in the Middle East, specifically in Mesopotamia (ancient Sumer). It is a two-player game where each player has fifteen pieces (checkers) that move between 24 triangles (focuses) as indicated by the roll of two dice. The object of the game is to be the first to do so, for example to remove each of the fifteen checkers from the board.
