The game takes you through the essentials, step by step to the beginning. Each game starts with two hands that you must make to continue. These are designated "goals". If these destinations are unclear, click the question mark in the upper right corner of the target segment for more details.
You must complete both of your objectives and have no cards left before moving on to the next stage. Players who cannot complete a scene start over. Whenever you've mastered the basics, more stages present themselves as you familiarize yourself with the game mechanics and the waterway excursion.
Phase 10 uses a whimsical deck of cards. To play with actual cards, you will need two decks of community cards. In the phase 10 deck there are unusual cards. There are skip cards that can be played to cause different players to lose their turn. There are also "wild" cards that you can play as any card.
Phase 10 online has a wonderful interface to start games with comrades and other Phase 10 online players. By using your in-game money, you can bind to the game rooms that award coins to the winner.
